The first thing is to find a good Church. The bible says to not fail to assemble ourselves together. What denomination is best?  Who is right?  My family always went to a certain denomination, is that good enough?  These are questions that you will need to answer for yourself.  I am going to give you a measuring stick and let you decide for yourself.

 Visit several denominations, even some that are different from the ones you were exposed to in the past.  Listen carefully, make sure that they are following the Bible.  You are looking for several things.  Is the preaching backed up by the word of God?  Is the congregation excited about Jesus?  This is one of the most important things.  If they are not excited you won’t be.  Do the people pray - I mean pray about every thing. Is the pastor excited about his message?  Do they preach the fundamentals, salvation, baptism, God’s healing, the fullness of the Spirit, and are the messages uplifting, and encouraging?

These things are all important, but if I could only use one of these, it would be excitement.  It has been my experience that where you find a church that people come early to get the good seats or in some cases to get a seat at all, these Churches usually have the other things that you are interested in. There is something about God that excites people when we worship him in spirit and in truth.

The last thing is the singing service, if it is dull and drab so will the rest of the service be.  If the singing service is exciting, and heart felt the remainder of the service will most likely be also.

The last thing that I would like to cover is your salvation.  If you have never been born again this is as good of a time as any. Ask Jesus to save you, ask Him to wash your sins away, and ask Him to come into your heart.  Confess that Jesus is Lord and thank Him for saving you. For more information go to our salvation page.

Jesus Alive Ministries has an online bible study for adults.  New messages are posted on a weekly basis.  The objective for the adult online bible study is to provide a brief overview on biblical principles or practices and how a person can be blessed by following what is taught in God’s word.  The messages are presented in a very simplified ,easy to understand format.  By having the convenience of an online bible study, a person can have access to information and knowledge in the comfort of their own home.  The messages are purposely designed to be short in duration, with hopes that the reader will read the entire message. 

Pastor Crosby writes both our Adult online bible study and our Teen online bible study.  He has years of experience in many different church environments.  He also has preached and taught in homeless missions, jails and prisons, and a street ministry.  Through these experiences he can simplify messages in a manner that most people find easy to understand and enjoy.

Our website also offers a online bible study for teens.  Like the adult messages the teachings are presented on a weekly basis.  The teen online bible study tries to focus on current issues that teens may face and to provide biblical perspectives on these issues.  The Lord is using teens in society today in a great way, and a online bible study geared for their age group proves to be a valuable resource in helping resolve self problems as well as peer problems.  In society today teens are exposed to a great deal of pressures and temptations.  Our online bible study addresses some of these issues and encourages them to live holy lives and stand up for what is right according to biblical teachings.  

The Youth online bible study is quite unique also.  We are blessed to have a talented elementary teacher named Steve write the Youth messages.  He works with many children on a daily basis and recognizes the importance of correct teaching and guidance at an early age.  Steve uses the Youth online bible study to encourage and uplift children around the world.   His messages are simple and easy to read and understand.  One of the wonderful things about the Youth online bible study is that the children and their parents can spend time together learning about Jesus Christ.
