As a Christian it is important to have a thorough knowledge of the Word of God. In Hebrews 4:12 we learn that the Word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than a two-edged sword … The bible is a source of guidance and direction in our daily lives. It can help us through all circumstances and trials we face in life.
Jesus Alive Ministries realizes the importance of offering free bibles to Christians in foreign countries that do not have a bible. Eighty percent of the world's Christians (outside the U.S.) have never owned a bible. In some countries it is as high as 99%. The need for free bibles in English speaking countries is tremendous. Many bible colleges in these foreign countries have libraries with less than a dozen Christian books. We offer free bibles because we feel every Christian should own a bible.
Jesus Alive Ministries currently has goals of sending one million pounds of free bibles and Christian literature to foreign countries over the next year. We envision giving away free bibles to foreign Christian organizations, Christian ministries, and Christian churches who cannot afford the bibles themselves. All of our free bibles are in English, so they will be distributed only to English speaking areas of the world.
We currently have requests for free bibles from South India. Christianity is starting to spread greatly now , and the need for free bibles is increasing due to the thousands of English speaking people getting saved.
In the Philippines - many people are coming to know Jesus as their Saviour and need free bibles so they can learn and grow and share the gospel with others.
The need for free bibles is tremendous in South Africa. We have received several requests from different pastors for free bibles and Christian literature. The Lord is moving greatly in this part of the world and people need to feed on the Word of God.
In Pakistan we have received request for Christian literature, tapes, and free bibles also.
The country is primarily Muslim, but the gospel is spreading there as well.
In several parts of Northern Africa the need for free bibles is great as well.
People are getting saved by the thousands and need free bibles to grow closer to God.
Several other countries need free bibles also. We will provide free bibles to these countries as we get funding to send them.
Currently millions on Christians are living under restrictions and are being persecuted for their faith in Jesus Christ. As we mentioned above, many do not even have their own copy of the bible. It is the one weapon they need in order to be victorious in the spiritual battles they face every day.
